I am associate professor of Geoarchaeology in the Paleoanthropology and Paleoenvironment Program, College of Natural Sciences at Addis Ababa University. I am also Associate Dean for Graduate Programs of the College of Natural Sciences. My research interests include prehistoric archaeology and the geochemical sourcing of raw materials. I have decades of experience in undertaking field survey and excavations in Ethiopia and elsewhere. I have also participated in several environmental/cultural impact assessments.
For the Middle Stone Age program I am especially interested in supervising students who want to study raw material sourcing and tool use.
